COVINGTON HISTORY PROJECT

For some time now Covington has lagged behind some other local villages that have researched and published histories of their communities. It would appear that the time is now right for us to redress this and we are proposing the following:

  1. We form a Group to produce a history of the village;
  2. This Group meets six times per annum (during the Winter months);
  3. The Group is to complete the project within a five year timeframe;
  4. The Group produces a bound document at the end of the Project;
  5. The Group elects an editor for the Document; and
  6. For the security of village members information received on persons living or recently dead or of a sensitive nature, including the precise location of sensitive historical sites and/or wildlife, will not be placed in the public domain in electronic form.

We anticipate that there will be a lot of research to do to complete this Project.
