Covington History Society

Welcome

The society exists primarily to record and recover a definitive history of the village from as far back as we can reach to as close to the present as it is decent to go, which is all you can expect, really!

Research is taking place in several areas. Primarily Church History, Village Demographics and Social History from the written record, Geological and Archaeological Investigation from the unwritten record.

It's a long-term project but the intention is to produce a published work and to donate our research to the relevant record offices to aid future investigation.
